Our Primary Goal is to Maximize Distributions and Unitholder Value

At Paramount Energy Trust the one thing of which we are certain is the strength of PET's team and our ability to capitalize on opportunities.  PET has a proven track record of accountability to our Unitholders when it comes to handling unexpected change and with the fast-paced cyclical nature of the oil and gas industry it means that we are ready to face those challenges and the competition.

PET's business strategy targets sustainability with a capital program sufficient to maintain production levels and with the remaining cash flow available for distribution to our Unitholders.  Our most recent investor presentations and webcasts are available for download. Please take the opportunity to listen to management's comments regarding the Trust's activities and performance.

Our growth, which has been significant, is driven by accretive acquisitions. To ensure the sustainability of our business model we adhere to a tightly focused business plan that is comprised of four pillars:

  • Asset Optimization - optimizing the Trust's asset base through low risk exploitation, low exposure exploration, infrastructure management and proactive stewardship of our extensive undeveloped land base
  • Maximizing Cash Flow - managing both the cost and revenue sides of our business to maximize netbacks and hence cash flow
  • Accretive Acquistions - pursuing accretive corporate and property acquisitions for growth and enhancement of the prospect inventory to fuel sustainability
  • Healthy Balance Sheet - keeping pace with capital activity, acquisition spending and markets in order to take advantage of opportunities as they arise throughout the commodity price cycles
  • Maximizing Distributions - Unitholder value is a top priority
